LSI's Social Responsibility: Partnering with TLFP for a Sustainable Tomorrow

LSI and The Lost Food Project: Partnering for a Positive Impact

At LSI, we are committed to more than just optimizing logistics. By partnering with The Lost Food Project (TLFP), a Malaysian non-profit organization, we’ve been able to use our expertise to support a mission focused on rescuing surplus food and helping those in need.

Leveraging Logistics Expertise for a Good Cause

As a logistics consultant specializing in Warehouse Design, Process Flow, and Inventory Analysis, we recognized an opportunity to support TLFP’s efforts. We provided complimentary services to design from scratch and project-manage the development of a 1000m² warehouse with a 150-pallet capacity, creating an efficient space for storing and sorting rescued food and essentials. This facility became a critical part of TLFP’s mission to reduce waste and provide assistance to those who need it most.

Supporting TLFP’s Growth: Chan Sow Lin Migration

Recently, TLFP moved to a new, smaller warehouse in Chan Sow Lin, downsizing from 1000m² to 560m² and reducing pallet capacity from 150 to 60. LSI once again provided pro-bono services, managing the entire migration and redesigning the warehouse layout to fit the new space.

By analyzing data on throughput and operational needs, we helped TLFP optimize the new facility, including designated areas for office work, charging, staging, and volunteer sorting. The move to a smaller, more efficient space has reduced rental costs and allowed TLFP to allocate savings to improve operations and serve more people in need.
